ISLAMIC TEACHINGS FOR HUMAN BEHAVIOUR AND MANNERS

ISLAMIC TEACHINGS FOR HUMAN BEHAVIOUR AND MANNERS

Islam gives great emphasis on Muslim behaviour, manners and on the good way to deal and treat with others, whether they are Muslims or non-Muslims. Good and decent relations among people are very important in our religion Islam, and creating good relations with other people is considered as main priority of a practicing Muslim. Our beloved Prophet (pbuh) teaches us the way of behaving and dealing with others. Below we are giving the sample of some of the Islamic teachings regarding manners, behaviour and making good relationships with others.

Dealing with Neighbour in kind way:

Islam greatly focuses on making the good relationship with neighbours. Muslims are ordered to treat their neighbours in the most gentle and kind manner and harming them is strictly forbidden in Islam. The Prophet (pbuh) said that a person who hurts or harm his neighbours is not a believer. Prophet (pbuh) also said that if a person doesn’t hurt their neighbours, they will enter in Jannat or paradise. A Muslim should not harm their neighbours and should be kind to them.

Being kind to Parents:

Islam gives great significance on behaving kind and humble with parents to the maximum possible way. In many verses of the Holy Quran, kindness to parents is mentioned after belief in ALLAH. This shows that it is the most important act for a Muslim to do. All Muslims are instructed to take care of their parents with great respect, especially when they become old, same as their parents took care of them when they were weak, dependable and young. Muslims are strictly forbidden from using even a single word of anger towards their parents.

Honesty:

Islam teaches that every person should have to be honest in dealing with all people. There is no space and justification for being deceitful and lying. Islam teaches us that honesty leads towards righteousness, and righteousness is a way to Jannat or heaven, while lying is a way of sinfulness, and sinfulness can only leads a person to the hell fire.

Cursing or ridiculing others:

Muslims are forbidden from cursing or ridiculing others. The Quran teaches that Muslim should not do this act. Islam teaches us that ALLAH hates those who abuse others, use wrong language and curse and ridicule others peoples.

Generosity:

The Holy Quran teaches that a person should be generous and help needy and poor people by giving amount from our wealth. In fact, according to Islam rules poor and needy people have a share in our wealth, Zakat is great example of this. Islam teaches us to be generous and share things with others.

Prohibition of Backbiting:

Islam prohibits backbiting, backbiting means talking about others behind their back, and backbiting is an act of disgrace and shame. The Holy Quran compares the act of backbiting to eating the flesh of dead brother, this shows how much this act hated in Islam.
